As 2025 draws to a close, we are looking back on a year defined by purposeful growth. Across residential and commercial projects, RYCON continued to deliver tailored outcomes through strong relationships and steady collaboration.
From award recognition to new team milestones, it’s been a year built on progress worth reflecting on.
Here are some of the highlights that defined our year.
Residential Highlights
2025 saw RYCON deliver a number of luxury renovations and new residential builds across southeast Queensland. These projects were grounded in design thinking, lifestyle outcomes and lasting craftsmanship.
In Wynnum, we completed a full renovation with new kitchen, steam room, external elevator and outdoor living upgrades. The layout now offers better flow, comfort and accessibility for the family’s evolving needs.
Repeat commercial clients engaged RYCON to undertake renovation works for their respective properties in St Lucia and East Brisbane. These renovations focused on improving storage, natural light and daily function within existing footprints.
In Ashgrove, construction progressed on a full Queenslander renovation designed to retain character while supporting modern family living.
At Belgrave Street in Morningside, we completed early works for a multi-residential project featuring three new townhouses and a raised and restumped Queenslander.
Work also began on The Base, a custom-designed build in Gumdale created for professional use with residential comfort in mind. The tilt panel structure includes a gym, art studio, pool and office, with the flexibility to serve as either a workplace or home in the future.
For every home, the focus was on creating a space that naturally supports the flow of everyday living.
Commercial Project Delivery
RYCON’S commercial team continued to deliver projects with strong planning, clear coordination and a focus on long-term performance.
At Prosperity Place in Park Ridge, we completed a 2,430 square metre warehouse and office facility, marking our third project for this client. Early involvement helped streamline approvals and reduce delays.
In Yarrabilba, we delivered three two-storey showroom units with Ceccato Architects. Each space offers flexible potential for office or retail use and is now operational.
Two new builds at North Harbour Business Park progressed side by side on Lot 21 and Lot 13 for a repeat client. Work began in March and both projects moved steadily toward December completion, marking another strong partnership and a productive phase on site.
In Logan Village, we handed over a new warehouse for a cabinetmaking company. The build included two offices and a showroom, and was delivered on a tight timeline to align with the end of our client’s lease. Rycon provided full design and construct services in collaboration with SPARC Architects to achieve an efficient outcome that met both time and budget.
Work also progressed on a seven-tenancy site in Moorooka, and a commercial cold store build in Berrinba.
In every case, process mattered as much as outcome. Early site insight, design coordination and structured delivery helped avoid unnecessary costs and support repeat client relationships.
What set these projects apart was not just the physical outcome but the process behind them. Early site assessments, collaborative design input and ongoing coordination helped reduce delays and avoid unnecessary cost changes.
With several clients returning for additional builds, this year confirmed that a structured and reliable process continues to matter just as much as the build itself.
Awards and Recognition
Our Brunswick Street Townhouses were recognised as finalists in two categories at the 2025 Urban Developer Awards
- Development of the Year – Urban Regeneration
- Development of the Year – Small-Scale Residential
These acknowledgements reflect the care, collaboration and craftsmanship behind every RYCON project.
We also attended the 2025 Master Builders Awards, reconnecting with peers and celebrating the achievements being made across the construction industry in Queensland. These events are a reminder that building well is still something to be proud of.
Working Together with Clients and Partners
Collaboration remained central to how we work. Whether supporting homeowners, developers or architects, our goal was always to listen, problem solve and deliver with care.
Feedback throughout the year confirmed the value of this approach. Clients appreciated the way we kept them informed, made decisions clear and focused on building outcomes that last.
As Rachel from Hugh Cabinet shared after the Logan Village build handover:
“Our first commercial investment build and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. Considering our very unique circumstance to relocate our family business, with a tight time frame push from the Government. Gerard, Jacob and the remainder of the team delivered above and beyond our expectations. The project was handled professionally, communication was clear, and the entire process has given us the itch to do it all over again with Rycon. Thanks legends!”

Investing in Our Team
This year also saw internal growth. We welcomed new team members while supporting others in stepping into expanded roles.
The quality of RYCON projects always reflects the people behind them. We are proud of the professionalism, insight and care our team brings to every build.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Sustainability remains a priority as we move into the new year. We will continue working with architects, consultants and suppliers to embed energy-efficient materials and thoughtful design from the outset.
We are also preparing to deliver a number of exciting new homes and commercial builds around Brisbane, and we are looking forward to share more with you.
Thank you to our clients, partners and team for making 2025 a year of steady progress and meaningful outcomes.
