PROJECT DETAILS

The project consisted of a modernisation of the existing 1990’s built residence through the refurbishment of the entry, kitchen and living space. The addition of a new outdoor living space connects seamlessly with the use of sliding stacker doors that retract fully into the wall cavity.

The front entry received the addition of a pool and water feature along with subtropical landscaping. This was designed by Matt Franzmann of Form Landscape Design, one of Brisbane’s leading landscape architects. The construction of this design was undertaken by the team at RYCON Constructions. This element of work consisted of a formed pool with off form concrete steps that were tiled and highlighted with LED lighting. The entry was tiled using Italian Sicis tiles and enhanced with a sheer descent water feature. 

A seamless flat roof was added to the entry with pre-finished cedar to the soffit, adding style to the walkway. At the end of the walkway a new pivot, New Guinea Rosewood was fitted which is further highlighted by the custom designed, handmade, steel security gate.

The coffered veneer ceiling in the formal living area adds warmth to this space and the existing black butt timber floor was stained and re-polished to a french oak finish. 

A dark kitchen was designed and fitted with the addition of high-end finishing touches. The marble and stainless steel bench tops make this a kitchen you want to work in.

The use of timeless materials throughout the entire home has given it a classic feel, whilst maintaining a modern aesthetic.
