Founded in Brisbane in 2003, the company employs 13 full-time staff and up to 40 subcontractors at any given time. RYCON’s focus is on mid-size custom designed commercial projects and the upper end of the residential housing market. OUR HISTORY
Founder and director, Gerard Ryan commenced RYCON Constructions in 1984 after learning and honing his trade as a carpenter and builder for many years. Gerard’s father was a builder and while some may say it was in his blood, he also enjoyed architecture and design so was conflicted as to which way to educate himself. With this strong interest in design building bespoke residential homes became a focal area over time as this brought the two passions together. We think it has made him pretty great at it too.
Gerard also has extensive experience in large commercial works both here in Queensland and overseas. It is through Gerard’s experience and leadership, along with highly competent staff members and tradespeople, that RYCON Constructions is able to produce consistently high standards of work, no matter what site conditions or building design it encounters.
OUR BUILDING PROCESS
RYCON Constructions aims to make the building process an enjoyable and hassle-free experience for both client and architect. Throughout the project, we maintain strong communication, staying close to the workforce with tradespeople and subcontractors from start to finish to ensure even the most minor detail is correctly executed.
RYCON Constructions offers a complete service from start to finish by coordinating the design, town planning through to construction drawings and cost estimate and on to completion of the construction. RYCON Constructions also works in conjunction with Brisbane’s and Queensland’s most reputable architects by constructing their designs and turning them into reality. Rycon Constructions has developed several ongoing professional relationships with Queensland’s finest Architects for which it is proud.
On completion of all projects, RYCON Constructions presents each client with a fully detailed portfolio of all the relevant building approvals, inspection certificates, certification, and warranties, along with a CD or USB containing progressive photos of the project construction from start to finish.
